This very ornamental pequin has very nice color changes as pods ripen. Pods start out black/purple and then go through white/yellow orange and then Red. Plants are medium sized with very high yields if smaller pods about 3/4 inch wide and about 1 inch long. Pods have nice pepper taste and are hot. This variety is very similar to Chinese 5 Color if not the some we have not seen much difference it the two. Pods can stay on the plants for weeks after ripe to have the best color Display. Pods are edible as all ornamental peppers are and they dry out good for powder. Powder has a unique flavour a little earthy good for mixing
