This Thai variety has us wondering why it’s called a bird pepper because pods are not that small they are the same size as Thai large orange pepper. Never the less this is a great flavoured variety that make great powder and is good used fresh in cooking and salads. Plants are medium sized and have very high yields of upward growing pods that start out green and ripen though orange to red. Pods can be used at any ripeness but the heat does not really kick in until they are red
